Portrait of Jessica HarrisJessica Harris is the producer and host of From Scratch. Prior to her work in radio, Jessica was a documentary filmmaker who produced and directed a critically acclaimed documentary film about WWII, called On Common Ground. The film included commentary by Tom Brokaw, Walter Cronkite and John Kenneth Galbraith and was released widely on DVD and television (PBS). Jessica formerly worked with Woody Allen on his film Sweet and Low Down.

Jessica is a board member of Jacob’s Pillow and the Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter Public School, located in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, and the Civilians Theater Company, located in New York City. Jessica is a four time Marathon runner and graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Business School. Jessica has traveled extensively in Latin America, the Middle East, and India.

Jessica lives with her husband, daughter, and five pets: a golden retriever (Audrey), a cat (Grendel), a fish (Lewis), and two female goats (Rosie and Silly).
